Lucien Muzard & Fils Saint Aubin Sur le Sentier du Clou Premier Cru 2023

Elegant and fresh white wine that beautifully balances finesse and complexity.  

The wine opens with an aroma of white flowers, fresh green apples, and subtle citrus notes, complemented by a hint of toasted almonds and a mineral undertone. The taste is characterized by a fine balance between fresh acidity and a creamy texture, where ripe stone fruits like peach and apricot meet tones of brioche with a delicious touch of butter. The aftertaste is long and marked by a fine minerality, emphasizing the wine's terroir.

"Sur le Sentier du Clou," is located on a slope with calcareous soil and optimal exposure. The grapes are handpicked and vinified with great respect for tradition. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented in oak barrels, some of which are new, and the wine has matured on the lees for 12 months to add complexity and depth.

The wine is an excellent choice for dishes with roasted fish, shellfish, light meat, or creamy sauces. Best served at 10-12 degrees to highlight its fine balance and aromatic nuances. 

A wine that is both classic and full of character, and it will develop beautifully over the next 5-8 years.
