On the nose, you are met with an inviting aroma of red berries such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by subtle notes of spices and a light earthy tone.

The wine possesses a rare intensity and juiciness with a long, elegant finish. It is outstanding for Santenay. A beautiful, full-bodied wine, still with fresh fruit.

This wine comes from over 70-year-old vines in a parcel of 1.49 hectares located in Santenay near Morgeot de Chassagne, on an east-facing slope at an altitude of 270 meters.

The soil consists of clay and limestone, giving the wine its elegant minerality.

The grapes are handpicked and undergo gentle vinification, with about 30% of the grapes kept as whole clusters to add structure and depth. The wine ferments with natural yeast and is then aged in Burgundy oak barrels, 15-20% of which are new, for 18-20 months.

The wine is ideal for serving at 14-15 °C and pairs excellently with poultry dishes, light lamb dishes, or mushroom-based dishes. Best enjoyed young for its lively fruit and finesse.
