Ca' di Press Barolo Perno is an excellent representation of what Monforte d'Alba's unique terroir can offer. Grown on calcareous and clayey slopes, which encourage a slow ripening of the Nebbiolo grapes, this Barolo reflects a depth and complexity.

The hand-picked grapes are gently fermented to preserve their robust tannins and intense color. Aging takes place in large Slavonian oak casks, adding layers of flavor and rounding out the tannins to create a well-balanced wine.

In the glass, Barolo Perno offers intense aromas of dark cherries and ripe plums, accompanied by nuances of roses and violets. These are accompanied by deeper notes of truffle and leather, which add to the wine's aroma and complexity.

The taste is powerful but well structured with silky tannins and a fresh acidity that culminates in a long, spicy finish.
