Ronc Plâtat Chardonnay Case Sparse DOC 2022

Wonderful chardonnay that opens nicely in the glass with a rich aroma of citrus, green apples and minerality.

The taste is soft and delicious, yet mineral in style.

Nice and well-functioning balance between the spicy and sweet/fatty to the fresh, almost slightly salty acidity. Fantastic long aftertaste.

Classic style vinification with 25% new oak from Tommaso's favorite barrel makers. The wine goes through full malolactic fermentation, but retains its freshness nicely

characteristic juiciness from the area.

The “Case Sparse” vineyard is located in the Rocca Bernarda area, a beautiful amphitheater-like hill in the central part of the Colli Orientali appellation. Planted in the 1990s with a north-northeast exposure.

Rocca Bernarda is considered by many to be one of the best "grand cru" within the appellation.

The high hill ensures that the field is well ventilated and the terroir is typical "Ponca" soil: Marl (chalky clay) layered with sandstone.
