Collection: Cannonau
Cannonau is an Italian grape variety that is also known as Grenache in other parts of the world. It is one of the most commonly grown grape varieties in Sardinia, where it is used to make the red wine of the same name. The Cannonau grapes are known for producing wine with a deep red color, as well as a powerful aroma of ripe fruits, such as raspberries, cherries and plums.
Cannonau grapes thrive best in hot and dry climates and have a high degree of ripeness, making them a reliable source of high-quality red wine. Winemakers in Sardinia have long used Cannonau to make soft and fruity red wines with a balance between sweetness and acidity.
As the Cannonau wines gained more popularity, winemakers also began to experiment with new techniques, such as aging in wooden barrels, to enhance the wine's flavor and aroma.
