Montemercurio Messaggero Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2015

The grapes are harvested and selected by hand and fermented in small containers to promote optimal extraction of the components in the skin. Fermentation takes 18 to 20 days, after which the wine is transferred to Slavonian oak casks of 40 hl, where it remains for at least 18 months. It is then stored for at least 6 months in small barrels of 10 hl. The wine is bottled with mild filtration and then refined for at least 12 months in the bottle before release.

Messaggero (the messenger) comes from a careful selection of the farm's best Sangiovese grapes. The wine expresses finesse, elegance and character like the great wines from Montepulciano, combined with freshness and power from the terroir.
