Les Crêtes Valle d'Aosta DOP Pinot Nero Revei 2020

Pinot Nero Revei from Aymavilles. The vines grow at 650 to 800 meters above sea level.

Revei means "clock" in the local dialect. The wine is named after a story about a medieval tower which stands close to the field. The tower once housed a reclusive watchmaker whose profession focused on time and its value and influence on nature and for man.

The mere 1,800 bottles in the vintage of Revei are the result of time, great experience and patience. During production, ripening and ageing, time plays a fundamental role.

After the harvest in early October, the wine has matured for 18 months in 700 liter tonneaux, followed by 18 months of aging in bottle.

The color is brilliant ruby ​​red.

The aroma is fruity and seductive with ripe red berries and a delicate hint of cocoa.

The taste is juicy, pleasantly acidic on the palate and with a fine structure and velvety tannins.
