Collection: Grace

Since 2005, Alberto Graci, together with his sister, has run this impressive place on the northern slopes of the 3,350 m high Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano. The soil is very mineral. Graci has wine at several different Contradas. He alone has Contrada Arcuria located 600 – 800 meters above sea level with 18 ha of wine distributed with 15 ha of nerello mascalese, 1.5. ha carricante, 1 ha cattaratto. Graci also owns the upper part of Contrada Barbabecchi, the highest field on Etna 1,000 – 1,100 meters above sea level. In this field, which can only be reached by Land Rover, pre-phylloxera Nerello Mascalese was planted in 1904. He bought the field together with Frank Cornelissen, but Frank did not have the patience to wait for them to get the field running, so Alberto ended up buying the top one from Frank. Frank still has the bottom of Barbarbecchi where Magma, Etna's most expensive wine, is produced. Graci also has a bit of the Contrada Feudo di Mezzo, which is a fairly large Contrada where several producers have wine.

Latest news is Contrada Muganazzi located at 700 meters altitude in the heart of Passopisciaro. There is always a good wind here, and the grapes always ripen perfectly here. Alberto bought the site, which has been known as one of the best fields on Etna, a few years ago. Now 2.5 ha of nerello mascalese and 3 ha of carricante have been planted here. The first wine from the site is Etna Bianco Muganezzi DOC 2019. Only 1,200 bottles produced on the 3 hectares.

Graci has just built a brand new cellar dedicated exclusively to white wine and rosé production.

Organic production, and there is only minimal sulphur.
