A decidedly elegant, gracious Barolo for Serralunga, the 2015 is a wine that engages all the sense with its exquisite beauty. Readers should expect a mid-weight, understated Barolo that is more about nuance than sheer power.

The Briccolina vineyard is located in Serralunga d'Alba. Tiziano Grasso's 2015 Barolo Briccolina shows some of the extra heat and warmth that is characteristic of the 2015 growing season. You taste that extra ripeness and softness in the plummy black fruit and cherry that sits firm at its core. Of course, Serralunga d'Alba with its marl soil and limestone adds its own signature to the final results. This wine is big and bold for sure, but ultimately, the Nebbiolo grape always tends to revert to a place of elegance. Some 3,000 bottles were made.
